Meet Quintana, a 15.2hh 9yr old thoroughbred, chestnut mare.

Not our usual choice of horse, all we really know about her is she raced as a 2 year old. She came to us very 'stable proud' and a bit handy with her back legs and, when ridden, had rearing, bucking and dropping her shoulder down to a fine art, to top that off ... she had the most flexible neck we've ever come across allowing her to slam on the brakes and, like a snake, whip her neck round and try and take your knee cap off...., whilst pulling the worst faces.

 By letting her run forward, varying what we do everyday and encouraging her to have fun again.

Quintana is now over all her vices, infact Skye is now riding her most of the time and performed on her throughout the 2011 season.
